The Silver Lake Sand Dunes area is a natural phenomenon that attracts more than a million visitors each year.
Three miles long and one and one half miles wide, these dunes are spectacular in their beauty. The Silver Lake Sand Dunes are the only dunes in Michigan that allow vehicle access. There is a designated area for dune buggies, 4×4 trucks, and other recreational vehicles to challenge the rolling sand hills. There is also a designated area for pedestrians. The sandy beaches of Silver Lake or beautiful Lake Michigan are a popular spot for many visitors.
